I've posted some old paintings that I promised I would a couple years back (when there were less than 3 million posts on Deviant Art! It's 26 Million now?!).  I just happened to take some pictures of them to show my mom.

So I took some time out of my day to post them here, for any wandering persons who might derive pleasure from looking at them.

I don't really remember what they were about, so I made some shit up in my head in order to title them.

So anyone who added me to their devwatch list back when I was doing all that smooth, creepy, pencil-y stuff may be a little disappointed by the recent ink stuff I've been putting up.  I'm a little sorry for going off on this apparent stylistic tangent.

Just to explain in brief:

A while back I just got completely bored with art.  

Everything I did was just horrifyingly boring.  And that was pretty depressing.  I just couldn't believe that I didn't enjoy art anymore.   And whenever I did actually draw, I hated what I made.  It sucked.  Really.

And then one day, after almost giving up entirely, I just started drawing silly things with ink, and art was fun again.

Now I make posters for shows around Montreal and design some CD covers here and there and whatever people ask me to make.

Its pretty fun.

I guess that is it.

I've put up a poster design and a flyer design in my scraps.
I'm working on another poster for  a "QPIRG-Concordia" event.
I'll scan a painting soon and put it up.

I really miss being able to post my art to DA.  It is a really good motivational tool.  I hate that getting internet access costs money... I have so little of that stuff.

Just to let the one or two curious people know, I am working on art.  I haven't given up or anything.  However moving to Montreal has made working for money a more integral part of my life, and the internet a less integral part.

When I find time [and I find little bits of that everywhere; every five minutes that I have while waiting for the metro or taking my break at work I have my pens and sketch book out], my focus is on a new [for me anyway] style of ink drawing that has me running in circles with excitement, and oil paints, which, as always, make me ooze with glee.  Oh, and the synth band I'm in usurps lots of my time as well.

I have a new zine in the works... Tentatively anyway.
It will be a much smaller format and hopefully much, much, cheaper.

I really, really, really hope to post something soon.

I've finally put up a new submission.  
I guess the holiday season is inspirational...

Though I haven't been making a lot of art that I consider exceptionally worthy of posting, I have been playing more with oil paints, so some color art should be up eventually.

I hope everyone who celebrates it has a great Christmas day tomorrow, and I hope all of you didn't fall into the consumer-trap that Christmas has become.
